Head Cook For Care Service

One of UK’s leading healthcare provider  is looking for an experienced Head Cook  to run the kitchen in highly reputable service based in Sheffield.

As well as cooking, the head of kitchen must complete the kitchen rotas, set appropriate menus, complete weekly food orders while managing the budget, adhere to all safety standards, and be professional at all times.

 

The Head of kitchen reports directly to the home manager.

As part of the Support Services team, chefs provide a high quality service to nursing home users through the creation, presentation and delivery of meals.

Working with a team of catering assistants, the successful candidate will assist with the provision of the catering service with particular emphasis on the planning, preparation and cooking of meals. 


What we’d like from you:

 

·         Basic qualification in food hygiene 

·         Level 2 diploma in food hygiene or qualified by previous experience in catering 

·         Commitment to delivering a high quality service 

·         Excellent organisational capability 

·         Effective communication skills 

·         Enthusiasm and energy 

·         Flexibility and strong “can do” attitude 

The successful candidate will be offered an excellent salary of £8.65 per hour plus other great benefits as listed below.
