Calibration Engineer - Somerset

My clients are looking to add to their rapidly growing workforce.

They are looking for Calibration engineers in an around the Somerset area.

Job Role:

To carry out calibrations on customer sites to various instruments in accordance to ISO 17025 standard.

Main responsibilities:

1. Efficient and effective calibrations to both our own and third party instruments.

2. Interface with customers by telephone, email, fax and letter providing pro-active customer care
3. To adhere to site safety rules, permit to work systems and carry out risk assessments
4. To work to local and industry procedures and to comply with industry codes of practice and our quality management system
5. Take on a lead role when working on site with any employed sub-contractors
6. Ensure your calibration tool kit is in good working order and within its calibration date.

7. You are responsible for ensuring the relevant parts of your tool kit is sent back to head office for recalibration in a timely manner.

8. Ensure your PPE is corporate and fit for purpose.

9. Lead a team of less experienced calibration technicians when required.

10. Able to use our reporting system efficiently and produce reports in a timely manner.

11. Collection and logging of simple device information into our web-enabled asset management system.

Educated to ONC standard or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic Instrumentation

Experience required:

Need previous in depth experience within the Calibration and Instrumentation Industry.

Good understanding of customer requirements
Ability to supervise a team.

Customer rapport building skills
Good telephone & E mail manner
Ability to work under pressure
Self motivated, have the ability to work on own initiative and as team player
A flexible approach to working activities
Good organisational skills
Computer literate

Salary is negotiable depending on experience.
