Senior Copywriter

Senior copywriter required for a content marketing agency based in Central London.

Purpose of the role

As the agency's lead copywriter, you’ll produce a range of content for B2B and B2C clients, including British Council, Spinnup, Shell, Rabobank and Wallenius Wilhelmsen.

As well as crafting beautiful, engaging copy on a daily basis, you’ll work closely with the Head of Content to ensure the team’s creative output is of the highest possible standard.

The agency will also offer you the opportunity to get involved in pitches and contribute to their internal marketing output.

The agency works closely with colleagues across the Nordics, and members of the London team travel to Sweden, Norway and Finland on a fairly regular basis.

Key responsibilities

The successful candidate will:


  • Act as the agencys London’s lead copywriter
  • Produce copy for a variety of formats, including web, video and social
  • Generate original creative ideas for pitch tenders and client projects
  • Act as internal expert on SEO and provide SEO insight and expertise to clients when required
  • Attend client-facing meetings/calls and represent the brand at industry events
  • Support the Head of Content in achieving the agency's marketing objectives
  • Drive innovation by applying the latest digital trends to client projects.

Skills required:


  • Strong creative, editorial or copywriting experience.
  • At least five years’ experience in journalism, communications or marketing.
  • Experience supporting complex, cross-organisational projects and working with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of SEO.
  • Outstanding accuracy and attention to detail.
