Warehouse operative / Assistant

Our client has an opening for warehouse operatives, to join the team in their busy Southwater based logistics hub.

Our client is an established e-commerce company selling and distributing consumer products globally.

  • 39 hours per week
  • Salary dependent upon experience and in line with national minimum wage + performance related discretionary bonus scheme (up to 10% of annual salary)

  • To safely operate the flexi fork lift truck in line with H&S guidelines (training provided)
  • Receive deliveries and assist couriers with collections
  • To catalogue and maintain palletised stock to required standards
  • To accurately pick, pack, box and label outbound orders
  • Picking stock from warehouse locations, within company targets
  • Packing customer orders within company targets
  • Assisting with the monitoring of stock levels
  • Ensuring the working environment is consistently within H&S guidelines
  • To assist the Warehouse Management with any given tasks

 Essential skill set required:

  • Reliable, professional and punctual
  • Keen and enthusiastic
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Numerate with basic PC skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure in achieving tight deadlines
  • Ability to work efficiently, on your own initiative and in a small team environment
  • Occasionally the job is a physical one and the applicant must be able to complete individual manual handling of boxes up to 15kgs in weight in line with manual handling guidelines
  • Flexible approach to the needs of the business during peak periods e.g.


Preferred but not essential:

  • Current or expired forklift licence; reach, counter balance, or flexi
