About our Client

Our client is a fast growing luxury cosmetic product business.

Specialising in a revolutionary high end luxury beauty product, they are enjoying a period of growth in the UK and the international market.

As an expanding business, they have an exciting part time opportunity for a Book Keeper based out of the Bedford i-lab office.

The Part-time Bookkeeper will take responsibility for bookkeeping, order processing, stock control and other general administrative tasks.

The post-holder will work 20-25 hours per week on an hourly rate of £12-15 per hour depending upon experience.

Exact working hours are to be agreed in order to meet the needs of the business as well as any existing personal commitments.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Managing Director and liaising with the Accountant, the role will consist of the following:

  • Provision of monthly reporting from Xero
  • Stock Management
  • Analysis and query resolution
  • Control of income and expenditure, bank reconciliation
  • VAT returns
  • Payroll
  • Debtors
  • Creditors
  • Liaison with the external Accountant as required
  • Order processing administration
  • Liaising with distributor regarding stock
  • Dealing with day to day customer enquiries
  • Other ad hoc administrative tasks

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Good working knowledge of Xero essential
  • Strong IT skills especially MS Word and Excel
  • Able to work alone own and using own initiative to solve problems and complete daily tasks
  • A good communicator, able to deal confidently with a variety of people face-to- face, in writing and on the telephone
  • Display a positive attitude and be committed to going above and beyond when necessary
  • Able to work flexibly in line with business requirements
  • Proven planning and organisation skills with the ability to prioritise workloads
