Assistant Manager

A highly successful café in Watlington is looking for an experienced Assistant Manager to join their busy team. 

Job type: Permanent – {Full Time} 

Salary: Salary and Hours of work £16000- £18000 (To be agreed with the successful candidate subject to experience, potential and personal circumstances, we are quite flexible, alternate weekend work will be required).

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

The Assistant Manager role will involve a variety of responsibilities, including: 

  • Managing the company café and customer relations 
  • Ensuring that high standards of service and food and drink quality are maintained at all times
  • Helping to ensure that staff rostering is efficient and sufficient
  • Managing training of new and existing staff
  • Opening and closing café when required
  • Ensuring a good dialogue between the kitchen and front of house staff 
  • Supporting stock control and product sourcing processes to maintain continuity of supply to the café
  • Good housekeeping skills including health and safety

  • Barista trained an advantage

Our client was set up in 2013 to compliment the Delicatessen and has become a central hub and meeting place in this small market town at the foot of the Chilterns, the clientele includes many of the locals as well as a significant number of tourists coming to enjoy the local countryside.

It is family run and aims to provide great food and coffee in a stylish but homely atmosphere.
