IT Support Analyst

IT Support Analyst | London | up to £30,000

Jonothan Bosworth Recruitment Specialists are currently working with an international technology company, as they look to bring on board Analysts to assist the business by providing technical support for any escalated calls and also to assist other engineers when required.

THE BASICS:

As Support Analyst, you will respond to customer queries raised face-to-face, by email or by phone, accurately identifying the urgency, impact and priority of a call, troubleshooting as far as possible, and gathering information.

In addition, we are looking for someone to provide on-site support in our clients' remote offices (currently in London, Yorkshire, Manchester, Bristol, Birmingham, and Bracknell) when necessary.



If you can investigate hardware and software issues to identify the cause and possible workarounds, whilst aiming to identify solutions where possible and escalate issues to third-line support, vendors, or to other teams where necessary we'd like to hear from you.



Resolving tickets in a timely manner, and keeping the customer updated at all stages of the process is vital, so too is monitoring completion of backup jobs to ensure that tapes are changed.





Administering desktop OS images for laptops and desktops, producing application packages and monitoring client AV status, all using SCCM, whilst being responsible for ensuring endpoint clients are secure and up to date whilst providing clear communication to the team to ensure that knowledge of issues and fixes is shared will result in an immediate interview request.



THE TECHNICAL STUFF:

Essential skills include; Windows 7, Windows 10, Microsoft Office, Office 365, Active Directory administration, PowerShell, Exchange administration, laptop hardware, desktop hardware, printer hardware, and networking basics.

Ideal skills include; MAC OSX, Software packaging, OS deployment and System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).

THE CONCLUSION:

Analysts with a strong desire to work within an IT Support team, delivering high quality support services to end users will thrive in this role.

If you are able to go through security clearance and maintain focus in a fast-paced environment, whilst listening and filtering the correct information from a request for support with a logical diagnostic approach we'd like to hear from you.

The ability to clearly communicate and exhibit a courteous and professional attitude towards customers and a flexible approach to working hours when required will be of much interest.

A clean driving licence would be helpful but not a necessity.
