Deputy Manager

An amazing job opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Deputy Manager to work with one of Irelands leading healthcare providers.

As a Deputy Manager you will join a highly reputable care home service within the Lisburn area.

 

The team of specialists provide nursing care for people who have complex medical needs and for those living with dementia.

The care home also provides intermediate care as an alternative to hospital stay.

 

As a Deputy Manager your day to day duties include:

  • Continually assessing the resident’s needs and wishes and develop the service to enhance their quality of life
  • Deputise in the overall management of the care home as required
  • Communicate professionally and warmly with visitors including family, friends and external stakeholders
  • Role model high standards of nursing care, ensuring legal regulatory and best practise guidelines are followed
  • Ensure the home operates within budget through effective use of resource and identify areas to improve efficiency
  • You will need to be a visible leader in the home, supporting the operation of a 24 hour business
  • Oversee the induction of all new employees and participate in the training development of the team
  • Play an active part in the recruitment, assessment and supervision of the team
  • Support the manager in disciplinary proceeding where required

  • Show empathy and warmth to patients
  • You should have good Dementia care experience
  • Able to write and audit care plans
  • Assist in assessments
  • Experience in managing staff and ensuring the service runs smoothly

 

The successful Deputy Manager will receive an excellent salary of £18.18 (36,869.04 PA) and the overtime rate is £22.73 per hour.

This exciting position is for 39 hours a week on days.

To be considered for this position you must be qualified as a Nurse, either RGN, RMN OR RNLD
