Technology Consultant

Love science or technology but don’t want to work as an engineer/scientist? If so our client is looking for experienced engineers and scientists to become part of their technology consulting team.

Using your engineering knowledge and business experience, your role will be to assess technological innovation to determine if it is eligible for technology tax reliefs.

You will do this through face-to-face interviews with senior technical staff.

Then you will articulate the technology, collect and collate financial data to be mapped to eligible projects, and represent all of this material in a compelling report.

You also will assist in responding to HMRC enquiries (perhaps raised on files that you may have prepared), and to help manage those enquiries to a successful outcome for clients.

Technology Tax Reliefs encompass R&D Tax Reliefs including R&D Expenditure Credits and Capital Allowances for R&D, Creative Sector Tax Reliefs and the Patent Box.

These reliefs were introduced by the government to incentivise UK companies to invest in and commercialise their technology.

Please note that this role is available on a Flexible/Part-Time/Work from Home basis.

This is a client-facing role which requires high quality output, excellent client management, self-discipline, punctuality, attention to detail and pride in all aspects of the quality of service being delivered.

Service delivery, project and client management, all form an integral part of the demands of the role.
