The Role of Incident Project Manager


The purpose of the role is to provide business ownership of all aspects of the Cloud migration project in terms of day to day delivery.

The role reports into the Product Manager within the Delivery function of the Information Technology (IT) Department.



  • Manage Stakeholders and disparate interests

  • Interpret the Business Case and convert into a PID

  • Responsible for creating and maintaining the key project documents

  • Manage risks, assumptions, dependencies, issues and opportunities on a daily basis

  • Ability to forecast and estimate budgets

  • Define and execute the Cloud migration strategy in alignment with business, IT and 3rd parties

  • Provide concise reporting to senior stakeholders

  • Manage conflicting requirements and iron out ambiguities

  • Manage the project resource requirements, requests and project team activities

  • Manage third party involvement to ensure successful project delivery

  • Provide scheduled and ad-hoc reports on project progress

  • Liaise with and provide support and guidance to the business on project activities



Mandatory Experience for this role



  • Problem management

  • Experience in a multi-disciplined technical department.

  • End to end Project delivery

  • Proactive and quick thinking

  • Experience in managing numerous large scales migrations into the Cloud.

  • Experience in managing migration of top ranked websites (including middleware) to Cloud will be an asset.

  • Problem solving skills

  • Strong stakeholder management skills

  • Careful at risk assessment and a good decision maker

  • Communication skills:

  • Clear documentation and excellent presentation skills

  • Good leadership skills

  • Able to inspire confidence in stakeholders

  • Inspire confidence and motivate project team

  • Extensive knowledge in dependencies, challenges and opportunities associated to complex migration into AWS Cloud environment
