We currently have an exciting new opportunity for a full time Section Head to lead and oversee the expansion of our offsite environmental monitoring programme.

The successful candidate would work alongside the Quality Control section within Microbiology reporting to the QC Manager and liaising with the senior team within the section on projects.

Working hours would be 37.5 per week, with domestic travel and occasional weekend working also required.

, Practical understanding of aseptic technique and environmental monitoring programmes; experience in qualifying cleanrooms desirable
, Clear and effective verbal and written communication
, Demonstrated time management, organisational and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
, Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work both independently and collaboratively at all levels to achieve common goals
, Ability to prioritise and work well under pressure

, Support launch of a defined environmental monitoring service working alongside our external partners
, Assist with the development and facilitation of training materials for external partners
, Day to day communication with clients for direction of work as well as managing the activities of an offsite team, within specified timelines and budgets
, Conduct qualification and revalidation of client and partner cleanrooms
, Ensure that service is delivered to the highest standard, meeting GMP, compliance and regulatory standards
, Ensure all data is collated, reviewed and approved for preparation of reports as well as conducting authorisation of data
, Problem solve for work undertaken to analyse and solve problems, identify root cause and take action
, Monitor the effectiveness of the environmental monitoring service liaising with clients and providing feedback to management in order to identify and implement improvements as required

, A Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant science subject or relevant work experience
, Experience and working knowledge of current Good Laboratory (cGLP) and Good Manufacturing (cGMP) Practices
, Training delivery experience would be beneficial
, Experience in other aspects of Microbiological QC testing would be beneficial

, Salary starting from £23K depending on qualifications and experience (please state salary expectation when applying)
