And you are searching for an executive PA opportunity where you will have significant autonomy, a wide variety of responsibilities and the opportunity to progress within a growing organisation.

Then this is the role for you.

About the Company

You will be joining a dynamic, growing professional training company with a clear 5-year vision for the further global development of the business.

The company has achieved a very secure financial position following several years of operating as a globally-respected leader in its market niche but they now require an exceptional candidate to help them take the next steps in their development.

About the Role

You will work alongside the founder and Managing Director of the company, serving as a trusted “right hand man/woman” and you will be expected to take a proactive and highly organised approach to help the company achieve its ambitious aims and targets over the next 5 years.

The role is full time (5 days per week) and offers a combination of office- and home-based working, subject to business needs.

The company’s main office is located in Lichfield but there may be occasional requirements to work in Sutton Coldfield.

You must possess the following executive PA characteristics:

  • You are obsessed with quality and take pride in your work at all times
  • You are extremely articulate both in written and spoken word with excellent proof reading and grammar skills
  • You have exceptional audio typing skills, combining speed, accuracy and an understanding of technical jargon (full training will be provided) to produce high quality documents and presentations under time pressure
  • You are able to multi-task and are capable of dealing with interruptions and unexpected changes of plan
  • You are equally comfortable working in an office-based team environment and on your own at home via virtual team working using video-conferencing and cloud-based software
  • You have an eye for detail and excel in the review of written texts/books, being capable of spotting errors of various types and suggesting improvements from a readability/usability perspective
  • You are personable and capable of presenting a professional impression of the company to first-time customers and other prospects – in many cases, you will offer the company’s first response to new enquiries
  • You are highly organised, proactive and willing to change to get things done on time and to a very high standard
  • You are determined and self-reliant with a persistent nature
  • You are energetic and keen to work in a fast-paced environment where no 2 days are likely to be the same
  • You are happy to learn new software packages and apps – as a heavily IT-based company, they are constantly innovating and improving their processes based on the latest market trends so you must be quick and confident in your use of IT and software
  • You are keen to progress within the organisation – by your actions and initiative, you can help to create and mould the future role that you could occupy upon promotion within the company

Based at the company’s offices in Lichfield but with the ability to work from home and requiring occasional UK-based travel, you will be responsible for organising the MD’s diary, undertaking quality control work, organising the tutor team, liaising with students and prospects, assisting with social media outputs and researching new business opportunities.

Your exceptional organisational skills and proactive nature will be the vital resource that helps to keep a very creative team on track and on schedule to ensure that their next 5 years are even better than their last 5 years.

The successful candidate will have excellent longer-term opportunities for progression within the company whilst in the shorter-term a performance-based bonus will be available if the company achieves its financial objectives.
