ActionCOACH Coventry and Rugby works with businesses across Coventry, Rugby and Daventry showing owners how to get more time, build better teams and more money on the bottom line.  We are part of ActionCOACH which globally is the number one business coaching firm.

Due to our continued growth we are looking for a Business Development Manager to join the team.  We want someone who has lots of energy, an interest in the SME market and has a background in consultative sales.

Working alongside the director, the marketing team and the coaching team you will be responsible for the generation of new business through the engagement and communication with business owners in the SME sector. 

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

The responsibilities include:


  • Identifying and recruiting clients to become part of the ActionCOACH programme
  • Developing the Business Development strategy across the geography to achieve the performance objectives
  • Building relationships with clients from initial conversations through to a diagnostic meeting and contract signing
  • Managing internal relationships and team members to ensure continual leadflow

Key Skills & Experience:

As the Business Development Manager, we are looking for the following skills and experience:


  • Experience of selling a service-based offering
  • Experience of working with SMEs, either working for or selling into this market place
  • You will be used to building great relationships and be successful selling to business owners
  • You will be well organised and have the ability to identify new opportunities
  • You will be a self-starter and plan accordingly to ensure your success
  • CRM experience to manage leads and customer feedback is essential
  • Proficiency with Word and Excel

You may have experience in the following, Account Manager, Business Development Executive, Business Development Manager, BDM, Sales Representative, Senior Sales Representative, Sales Specialist, Relationship manager etc.,
