Application Developer

Our client is looking for motivated, curious, action-orientated individual to join their tight-knit, fast-growing team.

They work for some of the UK's best-loved brands, helping them to grow their businesses on Amazon. You will be working for an organisation that is dynamic, data hungry and growing rapidly in their demands for IS / IT support.

The application is focused in house with a number of API integrations.

The number of data integrations is set to grow and the application will become customer facing.

The role is that of Application Developer to help with the development and on-going maintenance of an in house application.

The Application is written exclusively using Zoho Creator and Zoho Analytics (low code environment).

You will be working hand in hand with the business team in an agile fashion capturing and responding to requirements.

This application is the life blood of the organisation and you will be a pivotal part of the company.

You will work as part of a small team where close collaboration and communication are key.

Key Roles & Responsibilities: 

Duties will include, but are not limited to:  


  • Developing and maintaining the in house Zoho Creator application
  • Creation and management of API integration
  • Creation of Deluge functions / workflows
  • Creation and management of externally facing portals
  • Data management
  • Very robust testing
  • Ensuring Security across all aspects of the application and data
  • Working with the business to capture and evolve requirements
  • Working with the Zoho Analytics developer to ensure data consistency
  • Working using an Agile approach

Desired Skills: 

Our ideal candidate: 


  • Zoho Creator development skills or other similar low code SAAS environment
  • Zoho Deluge coding other similar scripting language
  • API development
  • Relational database design (advantageous)
  • SQL (advantageous)
  • Highly numerate, good analytical skills and excellent problem-solving ability
  • Able to work independently and to prioritise workload 
  • Straightforward communicator with good written and verbal skills
  • Comfortable following systems and processes (and re-writing them when they could be better)
  • Able to translate IT language into a business / team friendly dialogue
  • Estimate development timescales and propose alternatives if request is not viable
  • 1 to 2 years of Zoho Creator development experience

Desired Qualification: 


  • Educated to Degree Level preferably with a Computing element.

    Will take into account relevant experience

Job Details: 

Work hours would be, Monday to Thursday - 9am until 5.30pm, Friday - 9am until 3pm.

The Job is based in Southwell, Nottinghamshire.

During the Covid 19 Situation they are all working from home and staying in regular contact with Zoom and MS Teams.

When possible, the team will be returning to the office at least a couple of days a week where they enjoy free tea and coffee, sandwich Wednesdays and more Chupa Chups than they should.
