Strategic Delivery Lead
Job Title: Strategic Delivery Lead- Higher Level Skills
Salary range: £56,143 - £63,183 per annum
Hours: 36.5 hours per week
Who we need
We are looking for an individual who has a passion for skills and is up for the challenge of helping shape the delivery of higher-level skills across the region.
Working closely with colleges providers and Universities you'll be developing skills offers in digital, green technologies, health science and manufacturing
You will need a good understanding of the skills landscape and delivery but more importantly you'll need experience of managing projects and delivery at pace and working with others to achieve this.
You'll need to be equally comfortable talking to businesses about what skills they need and their productivity challenges as you will talking to curriculum teams and education leaders.
This isn't about selling though, it's about co-design of the type of training we need as a region to support the economic recovery.
You will also need to be politically astute and able to work effectively with national government departments to develop business cases for funding and to manage a portfolio of delivery and associated KPIs.
You'll enjoy working with a team but will happily lead and take accountability for delivery.
You'll be committed to making a difference for the people and businesses in the region.
About the team
The Productivity and Skills team deliver around £160m of skills and employment support programmes working closely with Local Authorities, national government and businesses in the region.
Jobs and skills are an exciting and challenging agenda but one that is important to all residents in the region.
