NRL are currently looking for a Project Manager – Hersham

About the role:
The Global Engineering, Manufacturing, Technology and Equipment (GEMTE) organisation is looking for a Project Manager to direct, control and co-ordinate the execution of projects, to ensure completion on time and within budget while meeting the required levels of safety, quality and reliability.

As Project Manager you will:

- Be responsible for delivery of overall project execution scope, as part of a larger project team supporting the Project Director, or by direct management of smaller (class 1-2) projects.
- Develop and implement an effective project strategy and project execution plan.
- Develop and maintain an effective project risk management and mitigation plan.
- Review design and equipment specifications, compile procurement documentation packages, work with Procurement to purchase equipment and services, and coordinate delivery to site.
- Review and agree project quality and inspection plans.
- Support site Construction and Commissioning teams to meet project scope.
- Control assigned projects within the approved budget and schedule, whilst maintaining company goals for safety, reliability and technical quality.
- Resolve problems in a timely manner, ensuring adequate and effective communication both internally within the project team and externally with Customers, Vendors, Authorities etc.
- Report to regional management on progress, achievements and challenges to delivery.
- In addition to project execution, support the preparation of customer bids/proposals.

What you will need:

- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or equivalent
- A commitment to safety in design, construction and commissioning.
- Experience in Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC), Industrial Gases or Petrochemical projects.
- Good working knowledge of contractual, financial and technical matters
- Experience initiating, guiding and co-ordinating engineering, construction and commissioning activities.
- Self-motivation, ability to work under pressure to meet project demands and to respond with urgency to solve problems as they emerge, through effective communication and coordination with the project team, support functions and vendors.
- Flexibility to work additional hours to meet project deadlines during periods of peak workload, and to travel internationally as required to ensure successful delivery of the project.
