Sales & Project Administrator

A family run business based in Brighton, East Sussex, is currently recruiting for a temporary Sales and Project administrator to join their expanding company.

The purpose of the Sales and Project Administrator role is to deal with incoming sales enquiries, manage these through the sales process and then throughout the project until construction completion.

The company is looking for an enthusiastic, highly organised and hard-working individual who is keen to make a positive impact on the growth of the company.

The role is initially advertised on a temporary basis, with the possibility of it becoming a permanent position in the future.

The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering excellent customer service and continuously looking for ways to improve the client experience and the supporting internal processes.

This role provides a great opportunity for the successful candidate to develop and grow in the role as the business expands.

Main Duties to include:

  • Dealing with incoming sales enquiries via telephone, email and partner referrals
  • Ensure all in house systems are up to date and accurate
  • Track sales leads through the various sales process stages, communicating with the relevant staff and client contacts where appropriate
  • Produce quotations based on information provided by senior team members and prospects
  • Follow up and chase all quotes that haven't converted into orders
  • Build strong and helpful relationships with old and new customers to uphold customer retention
  • Prepare project plans for tracking, monitoring and communication purposes
  • Manage projects from client acceptance through to the end of construction
  • Liaise with contractors / staff on site to ensure that deliverables are met and provide support where necessary
  • Provide regular sales and project updates to management
  • Send out marketing materials to potential prospects
  • Assist with the preparation of templates and processes to ensure more efficient service and organisation of the office
  • May be asked to attend networking events to assist with promoting the organisation and winning new business
  • Deal with any customer complaints in a professional and polite manner
  • Provide administration support to overall team where needed
  • Adhere to Health and Safety regulations in accordance with company policy
  • Promote and act in accordance with company vision, values, systems, policies and procedures

Key Skills & Experience:

The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

  • Previous administration experience
  • Knowledge of project management, including how to create plans
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • PC literate and able to adapt and use various software programs
  • Motivated and reliable
  • Results driven
  • Punctual and enthusiastic
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to multi task, prioritise deadlines and work under pressure
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers
  • Good knowledge of MS Office including Word and Excel
  • Team player but can also work independently

  • Job Type: Temporary 3-6 month contract, willing to consider flexible and part-time
  • Job Location: Brighton & Hove
  • Salary: £19,500 - £24,500 per annum equivalent and pro rata
