Warwick Students' Union is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and talented Marketing Executive to join their newly restructured Communications and Marketing team.

Ideally you will have experience of marketing communications, research and sales, and be confident in your own ability.

As Marketing Executive, you will have responsibility for a variety of activities from email/web/social media communication with students to selling advertising opportunities to external clients and overseeing survey and focus group activity.

You will need a Marketing background and experience in all these areas.

With no two days the same, you'll support our busy Communications and Marketing team in creating and implementing communications, negotiating with clients to maximise revenue, and co-ordinating research and insight activity to inform departmental and organisational decision-making.

This is a great all-round Marketing role, and a fantastic opportunity for the right person to really make their mark.

Salary: Starting from £27,456 to £31,801 per annum, plus excellent holidays and contributory pension scheme

What's the job?

Reporting to the Communications and Marketing Director, this office- based role will:
, Create and send the Union's weekly email newsletters to all students
, Write website news articles and update content for Union web pages
, To draft press releases and official statements as and when required
, Create and post content on all SU social media channels
, Sell opportunities to advertise via SU comms channels to external organisations
, Respond to sales enquiries via phone or email in a timely, efficient and professional manner.
, Ensure paid for marketing activity happens as agreed
, Produce quotations and proposals for marketing activity
, Co-ordinate the Students' Union's termly Pulse survey, monitoring satisfaction for all students
, Design and Implement qualitative and quantitative market research across WSU's membership base and stakeholder range
, Design questionnaires / focus group and topic guides.
, Undertake the facilitation of small focus groups, if required.

Your strengths will be your ability to communicate effectively to different audiences, along with your creativity, efficiency, and excellent organisational skills.

You will have experience of working in a team environment and influencing others.

It's essential that you hold experience of digital media techniques, including social platforms and websites, together with an ability to manage and prioritise a variety of projects within deadlines and budget constraints.

You will have produced high quality marketing copy, have first-hand sales experience and be familiar with market research techniques.

You'll be passionate about your work and have a commitment to empowering and supporting students.

You'll be self-motivated, professional and happy to work under pressure.
