Electrician

Our client is looking to appoint an experienced Electrician to join their small, established company.

An immediate start is available for the right candidate.

*You MUST be within commutable distance of Northampton

*Van and tools can be provided by the employer if required

You must have a UK driving licence (clean preferably) and enjoy driving as this position requires travel on a daily basis because our clients are based in the busy areas of Northampton and surrounding areas.

Essential Requirement:  

• ECS/JIB Gold card(Preferred)
• 2391 inspection and testing(Preferred)
• 18th Edition BS7671:2018
• Driving Licence

Job Duties: 

• Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems while observing all statutory and legal requirements
• Run tests on electrical components to ensure a safe and effective installation
• Inspect electrical systems and equipment for any damage, malfunctions, and safety hazards
• Other duties as requested

• Fault finding and diagnosis
• Managing peers, dividing job tasks and/or working as a team when necessary
• Managing or working with subcontractors

About You:

• Previous experience in electrical testing, repair and installation works, emergency lighting, rewires etc
• Previous inspection of commercial and residential buildings as well as repairs, fault-finding and installations as required
• Competent IT skills, accurate reporting and excellent verbal and written English are a must
• Is trustworthy, works in harmony with clients respects their premises, observes guidelines, and ensures that clients’ settings are kept tidy and safe
• Flexible, maintains high standards
• Able to work independently or in a team

Salary: Remuneration and assignments to be negotiated.

£32,500 – 38,000 per annum (

*depending on experience)

Job type: Full-time, permanent (initially on fixed-term contract)
