Location: 50% Central London & 50% home based

About the Role

As a Junior Database Developer you will use your expertise and skills to help the team monitor and manage their client’s infrastructure.

You will be integral in ensuring the uptime and resiliency of their platforms, as well as being the first point of call for bug fixes, small database developments and client data queries.

You will work across a number of projects, clients and development streams.

Skills and Experience: – Must Haves

  • 1+ years’ experience working in a development or data focused role, using relational databases
  • Exposure of developing or maintaining SCVs
  • Experience of an ETL tool
  • Experience working on AWS or Azure
  • An understanding of data quality and basic data architecture or data modelling principles
  • A numerate degree

Desirable Skills and Experience: 

  • Experience of managing Apteco Faststats, or other data visualisation tools
  • Experience developing using Python
  • Experience with an RDBMS database and/or NoSQL database such as MongoDB
  • Experience with serverless development such as AWS Lambda or Azure Functions
  • Experience with CI/CD such as Gitlab or Jenkins
