Junior Office Manager

Our client is an Electrical Contracting Company based in Bedford, that is well established and fast growing.

The majority of their work is B2B for new build construction across the Northern Home Counties and London.

Due to expansion they are now looking for an experienced Junior Office Manager who has worked within a trade or construction business.

The role will be home based and is initially part time, supporting the Managing Director, but has the potential to become full time, as the business grows and its needs change.

Job Summary

Main Responsibilities:

  • To provide general administrative support
  • Financial administration including invoice generation and quoting
  • Efficient filing of all invoices
  • Chasing any outstanding payments
  • To act as the first point of contact for all customer enquiries via phone and email
  • Managing the Managing Director’s inbox
  • Supporting the on-site teams with the ordering of materials, ensuring their timely delivery to site
  • Liaising with sub-contractors, staff, suppliers and clients
  • Scheduling and confirming meetings
  • Ensuring the project management system is kept updated and accurate
  • Diary management
  • Posting relevant updates on social media on a daily basis

Experience and Skills Required:

  • Office administrative experience, within trades or construction
  • Experience of using a job management system, ideally SimPRO
  • Competence with Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to prioritise and plan own workload
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent organisational skills

What is on offer:

  • Basic salary of £23-25k pro-rata
  • Pension
  • 20 days holiday per annum + 8 days Bank Holiday pro-rata
  • Ideal working hours would be 9:30am – 2:30pm, but this is flexible
