Factory Operator

A world recognised scissor manufacturer, established in 1760 is currently experiencing rapid growth and requiring a Factory Operator (plus other duties).

Development of skills is vital.

The role would suit somebody who has a ‘hands on’ approach and loves to spot and fix problems.

Experience in any of the following would be an advantage but DEFINITELY not essential as full training would be provided.


  • Be apprentice trained in a mechanical/manufacturing discipline
  • Have experience in manual grinding, including setting and machine maintenance.

The company is in modern, purpose built facilities at Holbrook.

Full training would be given.

Hours of work:


  • 39 Hours per week
  • 07:00 to 16:00 Monday to Thursday
  • 07:00 to 12:00 Friday
  • 15 minute morning break daily
  • 30 minute lunch break Monday – Thursday

Pay:


  • Commensurate with experience
  • Plus ongoing incentives
