We're looking for someone who's experienced in developing corporate strategy in any sector, and can work confidently with other teams to ensure our strategy flows through to business planning, individual performance plans, investment frameworks, and evaluation.

You'll be an excellent communicator and influencer, used to working at a senior level within a complex, multi-faceted environment.


About the team


The role sits within our Strategy and Economy directorate, working in a small team that develops policy on key cross-cutting agendas.

As a senior member of the team, you'll report directly to the Head of Policy, and work closely with the Mayor's Office, our Senior Leadership Team, and stakeholders across the region.

The role will also be the key liaison point with internal teams responsible for finance, individual performance management, assurance, monitoring and evaluation, and regional data analytic reports like the State of the Region.


We're happy to consider a fixed term contract or a secondment.
