Job Title: 6 x Support Worker - Supported Living Service Hackney
Salary: £21,242 per annum
Contract: Fixed Permanent - Full Time 38 hours per week

About the Role


We are looking for enthusiastic and committed support workers to join our support team in Catherine House.

You will provide meaningful support that will make a real difference to the people we support.


Catherine House is a supported living scheme tailored to provide personalised services to young adults with profound and multiple learning disabilities, encouraging long term achievements, goals and aspirations.

It is newly refurbished property that has eight self-contained flats and is situated in the centre of Hackney.


We are looking for someone who has good experience in supporting people with learning disability and complex needs, and can help ensure a safe, well managed and enjoyable environment for all to be part of.


In your supporting role you will support people with their day to day life,
, to learn new skills
, develop confidence and independence and
, promote access to the community.

About you


You will share our values and passion to engage, enable and empower adults with learning disabilities to lead the lives they want.

Using your experience of working in a similar setting you will have developed the skills you need to provide creative and flexible services that make a positive difference to people's lives.


As a support worker, you will ensuring the delivery of a high quality support service for adults with PMLD and a range of needs, through making sure that you adhere to all the relevant legislative and performance standards, health and safety, mental capacity act and upholding the rights of the people we support to be involved at all levels of decision making as well as achieving their personal outcomes.


You will be required to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays on a rota.

You may also be required to do night and/or sleep-in shifts.


Qualification/Skills


, NVQ Level 2 in Social Care or equivalent
, Experience of supporting people with learning disabilities and complex needs
, Experience of planning activities in house and in the community
