Support Workers working with Adults with Learning Disabilities – Flexible Shifts

Due to the sensitive nature of the role, my client is only able to consider female candidates.

6 month maternity leave cover with a view to a permanent post.

Our client, Oakview Care is seeking enthusiastic, caring people to join their team supporting ladies with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs.

The right candidate will be passionate about supporting people to live a varied, full and rewarding life.

Working with vulnerable adults is a varied and rewarding job as you'll be supporting their clients in many ways, both with daily living tasks but also helping them to achieve their personal goals and to access community activities, work placements, hobbies and social activities. Previous experience is not essential as you will receive comprehensive training.

  • You must be committed to supporting vulnerable people to live their best lives and to support people with respect and with dignity
  • To be a good communicator and to be able to work well as part of a team
  • To be enthusiastic about supporting people to live a varied and happy life

Additional Information about the role of Support Worker

  • If you aren't already qualified you'll be expected to undertake a QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care.

    You'll be fully supported in achieving this.
  • Full-time hours are 37.5 hours per week.
  • Part-time roles may also be available.

    Talk to our client about flexible shifts.
  • The ability to drive and a full clean driving licence is preferred as part of the role will involve taking their clients out – we have house cars for you to drive.
