An exciting opportunity has arisen within our client, NHS Wales Informatics Service (NWIS) to join the new NHS Wales Cyber Resilience Unit being set up to act as the delegated competent authority in establishing and maintaining NHS Wales response to this legislation.The Security of Network & Information Systems Regulations (NIS Regulations) came into force in 2018.

About the Role

You will support NHS Wales Informatics Service and NHS Wales in improving security within both existing and new systems, ensuring appropriate and proportionate controls are in place, to support the delivery of the national security posture for NHS Wales. 

You will ensure the team works in-line with good practice to protect Critical National Infrastructure, Applications and Sensitive / Person Identifiable Information.

You will assist in the development and delivery of a consistent audit programme across all NHS Wales for Cyber Resilience and Resilience frameworks and legislative requirements. 

You will also support the development and delivery of the assurance framework and toolset to support the secure implementation and operation of new Critical National Infrastructure and Patient Facing Services.

You will support the Cyber Resilience Manager in the Development and delivery, a forward schedule of review assessment and independent audit to provide ongoing security assurance of existing Critical National Infrastructure and Patient Facing Services.

Under the instruction of the Assurance lead, be responsible for taking the lead on new projects within their product area, namely their assurance and audit.

This is a management level position that will report into the Cyber Resilience Manager and part of a growing team where in the future you will have junior staff members reporting to you and where you will be expected to provide leadership and direction to team members, where complex concepts need to be conveyed, implemented, and audited. 

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
