An exciting new opportunity has arisen within our client, NHS Wales Informatics Service to join the new NHS Wales Cyber Resilience Unit being set up to act as the delegated authority in establishing and maintaining NHS Wales' response to the Network & Information Systems Regulations (NIS Regulations). 

You will be working in the Unit which will operationalise the NIS regulations on behalf of Welsh Government.

The Unit's function is to have oversight of NIS audits, and the associated action plans to remediate any gaps which those audits identify. 

The Unit will also provide operational support and advice for those completing the NIS reporting framework set out by Welsh Government, and supporting operators of essential services in identifying and reporting a NIS incident.

The Unit will be responsible for reporting on the status of the NHS Wales cyber posture against the NIS regulations to Welsh Government as Competent Authority. 

Key Responsibilities:

The Unit will provide you with opportunities to work on a continuous stream of new challenges. 

  • You will develop, maintain and support the relevant systems for assessment and reporting, for which the post holder is responsible and in accordance with specifications / operational requirements of NHS Wales.
  • You are able to define the level of risk presented to the business, and then develop solutions to mitigate it.
  • You are committed to continual improvement and education in the field of cyber resilience.
  • You are committed to improving the level of cyber resilience for users of NHS systems in Wales and wish to ensure that the services they develop are first-class and able to deliver better care to those who need it.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
