What you will be doing

You will identify new business opportunities to generate revenue, improve profitability and help the business grow.

Along with the Marketing Team, the Business Development Manager will sit at the forefront of Get Blogged with the successful candidate building a team around them.

The goal is to drive sustainable financial growth through boosting sales and forging strong relationships with clients within a recurring revenue model. 

This is a target driven role, the Business Development Manager will be obsessed with hitting targets.

Responsibilities and Duties:

You will be an ambitious and energetic Business Development Manager to help expand their clientele.

You will be the front of the company and will have the dedication to create and apply an effective sales strategy.

  • Achieve and exceed sales targets
  • Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction
  • Arrange business meetings with prospective clients
  • Generate leads and cold call prospective customers
  • Foster and develop relationships with customers/clients
  • Develop the business sales and marketing strategy.
  • Create a sales pipeline
  • Understand the needs of your customers and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet these
  • Promote the company’s products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives
  • Generate and then nurture leads into customers
  • Seek out the appropriate contact in an organisation
  • Negotiate pricing with customers, and suppliers in some cases
  • Prepare sales contracts 
  • Keep records of sales, revenue, invoices etc.
  • Carry out sales forecasts and analysis and present your findings to the Leadership Team
  • Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support
  • Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers
  • Develop entry level staff into valuable salespeople 
  • Facilitate the transition of a customer’s requirements into the delivery team.
  • Think strategically and commercially - seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives in order to develop and improve the business


  • A desire to learn is essential, examples of educational achievement are a necessity.
  • Proven working experience as a business development manager, sales executive or a relevant role
  • Proven and demonstrable sales track record
  • An understanding of SEO and Influencer Marketing.
  • Collaborative and Team player mindset.
  • Proficiency in MS Office / Google Suite / Xero Invoicing
  • Proficiency in English


Get Blogged are keen to support the growing need for flexible career opportunities and working culture, so you will be working remotely (with your own desktop or laptop setup) from anywhere in the UK.

Regular video calls are a must.

This is a warm team culture, albeit, remotely.

Hours and Contract

We can be flexible with times, however, we do need you to work 5 days a week due to the nature of the role.

This is a full time role, 37.5 hours a week to be completed between 8am and 6pm.

The role will operate as an on-going Contract, you will be required to submit an invoice on the last working day of the month.
