Site Manager

Edge are seeking a Site Manager to join the building division of an established national Tier 1 principle contractor; working across Health, Education, Defence and Commercial markets.

The successful candidate will join the business as a No.2, reporting into a Project Manager, on a £23m Education new build scheme in Coventry.

You will be accountable for the management and control of the project; ensuring safe completion in accordance with programme, specification and budget.

As a Site Manager, key responsibilities will include:

  • Plan, co-ordinate, maintain and develop staff and operative levels to effectively undertake current and prospective workloads.

  • Co-ordinate, drive, and control initial site set-up, actively installing Company systems and procedures.

  • Organise and co-ordinate the undertaking of maintenance works as directed by the Project Manager.

  • Liaise and co-ordinate with all Head Office Departments to improve all levels of communication.

  • Produce data as required by Project Manager/Operations Manager to facilitate accurate contract reporting for inclusion in Project Reports

  • Undertake the role of the Site Safety Supervisor.

  • Appraise the security risk to all Company property under your control and install security levels commensurate to the relative values.

To be successful in the position of Site Manager, you will need to be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Experience of working in a similar role in Construction

  • A proven track record of delivery multi-million-pound schemes within education, healthcare or commercial for a main contractor

  • CSCS

  • Professional, construction related qualification - Degree, HNC, ONC or equivalent

  • First Aid Certificate
