Mortgage and Insurance Administrator

  • Client focused with warm manner
  • Able to use your own initiative and to sometimes work to tight deadlines
  • Must have some administrative experience working in financial services, and be familiar with the lingo & jargon
  • Keen to develop your career and knowledge in a busy but friendly office
  • Desirable if you are a maximum 45 minutes away from City based office for “office days”

Purpose of the role:


  • Support a small team in a sales-driven environment reporting to the owner
  • Commitment: Deal with lots of admin – you have to LOVE this – and to getting it Right First Time (RFT)
  • Accuracy: putting files together, checking work, inputting data, writing letters & reports, recording on CRM systems
  • Quality: Attention to Detail (ATD) – yes we love acronyms and have created one for this term as it is a must!!!
  • Speed: pushing mortgages and insurance cases in the pipeline from sale to completion asap
  • Warmth: Act as a point of contact for clients, keeping them up to date with their cases promptly
  • Initiative: Handle enquiries with integrity & courtesy, offer excellent client service, manage everyone’s expectations, including your team mates

Duties and responsibilities:


  • Speed: Working with advisers and owner to get client applications through a process to completion 
  • Quality: Assisting the advisers with all elements of the mortgage and insurance process; checking that all paperwork provided is correct e.g.

    within date, correctly certified
  • Accuracy: Processing and administering compliant client business in accordance with FCA regulations
  • Managing and updating systems on a day to day basis with activity and results
  • Participating in regular team meetings and keeping everyone up to date with progress
  • Working alongside Owner on special assignments and projects

Detail on the Company and benefits offered:


  • Company: Joining a young, ambitious and growth focused team based in the City of London.

    Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm / part time available
  • Salary: £21,000 – 25,000 per annum basic salary (dependent on experience)
  • Bonus: Achievable targets based bonuses, performance related, reviewed monthly, quarterly and annually.
