About the Role

Maritime UK is going through an exciting period of growth, and they are seeking a passionate and dedicated Corporate Services Manager to join their expanding team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who is seeking to join a small team and add significant value to a national organisation working on some of the most significant issues for the country.

Working with the CEO, you will be responsible for the good governance of the organisation following recent incorporation as a company limited by guarantee.

You will support corporate committees and liaise with external suppliers on finance, HR, and legal matters.

You will also play a critical role in the development of the organisation through regular engagement with existing members as well as recruiting new organisations into membership.

You will help secure sponsorship for Maritime UK and establish partnerships to deliver against the organisation’s priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

Governance, Finance and Administration:


  • Lead on HR, finance, and compliance matters, including liaising with external suppliers
  • Prepare papers for the company board and corporate committees
  • Support in developing the annual budget and managing audit process
  • Provide secretariat to other working groups as may be required

Membership, Sponsorship and Partnerships:


  • Develop, secure, and maintain programme and event sponsorship
  • Lead on membership services, including recruitment, retention, and development
  • Develop partnerships with relevant organisations to make progress against Maritime UK’s priorities

Additional Information:


  • The role may involve some travel within the UK

Skills and Qualifications required:


  • Good administration skills with attention to detail
  • Good time management skills
  • Ideally two- or three-years’ experience in a corporate services role or similar
  • Degree, diploma, or relevant business qualification; or equivalent experience
  • Able to prioritise tasks and work to deadlines
  • Strong communication skills
  • Able to use own initiative and develop ideas with the team
  • Possess the ability to work productively, efficiently, and effectively with attention to detail and quality
  • Good knowledge of IT, MS Office applications – Outlook and Excel and social media
