The OD & Business Change Consultant is responsible for delivering organisational development and business change management consultancy services to our clients and where required support to internal strategic HR & OD initiatives.

This role will provide highly specialised OD (Organisation Development) consultancy expertise and support to stakeholders at all levels in our client organisations, helping them to shape an organisational culture that increases employee engagement and raises their organisational performance.

Main tasks of job:

  • Develop new and improved OD & Business Change products and services in conjunction with the Head of Business Change & Digital Adoption.
  • Working collaboratively across the Embridge team and thinking commercially to support the delivery of best possible outcomes for our clients on a financially sustainable basis and contributing towards the profitability of the company.
  • Manage the delivery of exemplary client interactions to potential and existing clients which support the management of strong relationships and a reputation for achieving outcomes and resolving issues.
  • Ensures all projects are delivered on time and on budget, and that service delivery is of the highest standard, complying with and where possible exceeding the requirements of the Embridge Consulting quality accreditations and cyber security accreditations.
  • Contribute to change management methodology, tools, and resource development efforts.
  • Participate in relevant professional development activities as a subject matter expert and/or participant.
  • Any other ad hoc tasks as reasonably required by the Head of Business Change & Digital Adoption.

Attributes / Skills / Qualifications / Requirements 

  • At least 5 years’ demonstrable experience providing expert Organisation Development & change management solutions in support of large-scale process / technology projects and/or other transformation initiatives
  • Demonstrable extensive experience leading one or more workstreams in Organisation Development, change management, communication and/or training development, and sound understanding of programme / project management
  • Ability to work independently with limited direction, managing multiple assignments and priorities
  • Strong and sound problem-solving and decision-making skills, and ability to identify and reasonably resolve issues and challenges, enabling goals and objectives to be achieved successfully
  • Experience in team management or leadership
  • Possessing a proven track record of working effectively across teams, overcoming resistance reasonably and navigating a complex organisation with multiple priorities
  • Ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues alike
  • Knowledge of data-enabled approaches to identify change risks and apply mitigating change interventions
  • Degree level educated
  • Achieved at least 3 ‘A’ levels or equivalent educational level qualification
  • Excellent and clear verbal and written communication with a high level of attention to detail
  • Creative, collaborative, and enthusiastic
  • Sound understanding of Organisation Development and Business Change, and able to articulate the benefits of solutions to clients
  • Flexibility to travel to client sites and other office locations, with overnight stays as and when required.
  • Experience supporting OD & change management for clients that have migrated from on-premises / legacy technologies to cloud technologies
  • Experience of enterprise business software implementation projects including but not limited to Unit4 ERP
  • Strong ambassador of Company values and ethos
  • Ability to meet targets, deadlines and work well under pressure
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
  • Ability to be flexible, adaptable and follow procedure
  • Competent in the use of IT systems, including but not limited to Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and social media platforms
  • Membership to relevant organisation, including but not limited to CIPD
