Web Designer

Coventry University Students’ Union (CUSU) is going through a period of rapid growth.  To support our ambitious plans, we are looking for an individual with some experience of Web Design who is looking to develop and grow their expertise in this area.  You will be responsible for the front-end of web projects from brief through to wireframe, mock-up, and build for CUSU and CUSU Services. 

You will also be involved in designing sites and assets that meet commercial and non-commercial targets for a range of stakeholders as well as create high-quality graphical and multimedia content to support our marketing campaigns.  You will be involved in the design and build of websites, ensuring user experience is optimized as well as maintaining brand integrity across various projects, whilst also ensuring that sites meet agreed standards relating to security and performance. 

The ideal candidate will have solid experience of designing and managing websites, including web content management systems, along with experience of graphics editing software (e.g.

Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks).

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are vital as you will communicate with internal and external clients and answer queries throughout the design and build process.

Working alongside the Communications and Marketing team, you’ll have the opportunity to play a major role in the development of the business and our digital future in particular.

This post is permanent, working full-time 37.5 hours per week.

A flexible approach to working hours is required.  Please be aware that as an organisation we are working temporarily on an agile basis, this will be discussed and agreed with the successful candidate.

 Part-time working arrangements as well as remote working (UK) will also be considered.
