Overview

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Business Development & Key Account Manager to join a highly successful Contractor based in Raunds, Northampton.  Cubex Contracts Limited specialise in commercial refurbishments including partitioning, suspended ceilings, flooring, mezzanines, commercial interior design & dilapidations.  Working within an 80 mile radius of NN6 Cubex provides intelligent and creative work spaces to support modern business needs.

The role...

Reporting to the General Manager this position is responsible for leading the growth the business via achieving monthly sales targets by generating new enquiries as well as responding to incoming leads.

Based in NN9 6NS Mon-Fri 8.30am-5.30pm with regular client visits.

In addition to a competitive basic salary, bonus and car allowance you will also receive a laptop, mobile phone and healthcare scheme.

Responsibilities include...


  • Responding to incoming enquiries
  • Client visits to take specifications and conduct site surveys
  • Timely handing over of information to Estimating/Design
  • Liaising with the estimating team to support the costing of a project
  • Managing the sales pipeline
  • Following up quotations to ensure conversion to order
  • Lead generation using methods such as networking, cold calling, market research and targeted sales activities
  • Managing and improving the process of sales presentations
  • Ensuring that the CRM system is kept up to date & KPIs are met

Other responsibilities...


  • Monthly reporting of results and activities to the General Manager & Directors
  • Attending networking events
  • Any other ad hoc duties required by the General Manager & Directors

Essential Experience and attributes...


  • Demonstrable evidence of a successful career in a sales
  • Demonstratable evidence of regular new business development
  • Understanding of products used within the internal fit out of a commercial building & Mezzanines
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Good communication with C & D level stakeholders
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Good IT skills
  • Self-motivated and driven
  • Calm, patient and polite manner
  • A strong closer but without over pressurising
  • Ability to show initiative
  • Confident in presenting ideas to customers
  • Ability to work in a small team & provide excellent customer care
  • Full, clean driving licence

Desirable but not essential experience in...


  • AutoCAD
  • Estimating/costing
  • ACT/CRM software

Education...


  • GCSE or equivalent grade C or above in Maths and English essential
  • A-Levels or equivalent desirable

Career progression...


  • Potential to move into a Sales Manager role as the sales team grows and develops
