Service Manager - Lady Allen/Chelsea Adventure Playgrounds (Fixed Term)

The Lady Allen and Chelsea Playgrounds offer accessible and securely fenced green spaces, where children and young people with special needs and disabilities - and their siblings - can play in a truly supportive setting.

The playgrounds are child led and centred - that means play is personally directed by the children, so they choose when, how and what they play with.

Qualified staff are on-hand to provide equal access to all activities too, which gives each child a sense of ownership that enables them to make choices, develop friendships and have fun.

What you’ll be doing

As Service Manager / Playground Manager you’ll be responsible for providing a range of play services that support disabled children young people and their families.

Indeed, we’ll count on you to manage a team of play workers, alongside coordinators and senior practitioners that together run after school, weekend and weekly youth services.

Recruiting and developing staff will be an important aspect of the role too, as will providing regular training.

Delivering a programme of varied activities, managing the physical responsibilities of the playground like health and safety, maintenance, cleanliness and repairs and managing financial performance and keeping accurate records – all are elements of this truly rewarding role.

Flexible working hours will be considered.

This is a fixed term role from 1st March 2022 until 31st October 2022
