WATER TREATMENT ENGINEER - Berkshire
My Client is a well established company with over 20 years experience in the water treatment industry.
They specialise in areas such as: Contracting, Equipment and Service & Maintenance.
They now have a vacancy for an experience risk assessor.
The successful candidate will be educated to college level, be practical, confident, and hard working with the ability to work as part of a team.
This role is field based so you must be physically fit, reliable, numerate, literate and should be in possession of a full UK licence.
The role includes
• Dealing courteously and politely with customers
• Completion of daily paperwork
The successful candidate will have excellent practical and theoretical knowledge of:-
• Carrying out Legionella Risk Assessments to ACoP L8 standards and the production of full reports and schematics (4 - 5 years experince)
• Water Hygiene Monitoring to ACoP L8 standards.
• Water Sampling and Testing.
• Testing and dosing of Cooling Tower systems.
• Testing and dosing of HVAC systems.
The following would also be beneficial, but are not a requirement:
• Chlorination of Domestic Water Services and Cooling Towers to ACoP L8 standards.
• Servicing of water treatment equipment such as Water Softeners, Chlorine Dioxide units, UV units etc.
• Knowledge of steam raising systems.
• Water tank refurbishment.
You will also be responsible for running Water Treatment contracts assigned to them and will report to the Senior Administrator.
Experience
Minimum of 4 - 5 years experience of risk assessment within the Water Treatment Industry.
Salary Package:
We offer a basic salary £27k - £30k, plus overtime (commensurate with qualifications and experience).
Hours are based on Monday to Friday working week.
Also the occasional weekend work may be required.

Site conditions are changeable, and engineers are one of the company’s most public faces so there must be a willingness to go the extra mile in order to deliver high standards.
The position is field based, and the candidate should ideally live within 30 miles of Bracknell.
The individual must be reliable, honest and conscientious; loyalty is also essential.
An eager and receptive approach to learning new skills and responsibilities is vital.
Personal Situation:
Must hold a full UK driving licence.
Must be eligible to work in the UK.
Education:
Good GCSEs (Grade C or above) in English and Maths required.
Computer Skills:
MS Word and Excel skills
Ability to use MS Outlook
Ability to produce schematic drawings using AutoCAD or other similar software
