NPD Technical Assistant (6-9 months)(Soft Drinks)

Based in their soft drinks division they have an exciting fixed term opportunity for someone to gain development experience over a 6 - 9 month contract term.

Based in their soft drinks division they have an exciting fixed term opportunity for someone to gain development experience over a 6 - 9 month contract term.

Job Purpose:
To support the day-to-day operation of the NPD team.
To support the Development team in administrative duties – printing artwork, data management of new Raw Materials and ensuring that Quality systems are kept up to date.
To support the team in ensuring the Lab facility and inventory is stocked and developed in line with requirements.
To prepare, conduct and report Benchmarking for Internal customer and assist in preparation for External Benchmarking sessions
To assist in the development of the branded portfolio through benchmarking and support activities.


To assist Development Technologists in the achievement of product/project launch targets.
To ensure agreed internal actions are pursued e.g.

in relation to working capital stock clearance, assisting in delivery of Value Engineering targets.
To assist in the management and development of the Raw Material base by administering QC checks and raw material evaluations.

Dimensions:
Optimise the efficiency of the Department by preparing and second checking Artworks where required
Drive a continuous improvement agenda for the Laboratory
Ensure optimised use of materials on the working capital list.
Assist in Product Development launch activity for all Juice, Carbonates & Fruit Squash.



Principal Accountabilities:
Raw material management and control linking with the Goods In material management team.
Internal Value Engineering and complexity solutions
Product quality initiatives across multiple accounts.
Helping to develop the rolling Continuous Improvement plan for Raw Materials in line with the agreed targets
To work within the team structure, showing the required core competencies commensurate with the job role.

Contribute to the health & safety of self and others by applying health and safety principles to the required standards whilst undertaking designated tasks.
