Contract Manager - Marine Engineering

A global leader in the marine engineering, service and MRO sector seek an experienced contract manager / account Manager to join their Glasgow based Engineering MRO service operation to manage and develop a major customer contract account.

This is a strategic contract manager role which will focus on and responsible for the contract management for one specific strategic account for marine technical engineering service, support and MRO.

A role which will require a contract manager / account manager with proven success of managing technical engineering service contracts within the marine or maritime related sector.



The contract manager will lead subcontract supply management and internal project management to ensure first class engineering MRO service delivery to this key customer.



Candidates will need to have proven ability in contract management / account management to ensure first class service requirement as set out in the supply contract and when necessary lead full contract negotiation and review and change of terms within a similar technical marine fleet engineering environment sector.

This really is a key role within the which report directly to the UK Engineering Service business unit Director and will have much scope to develop this role capacity as it succeeds in the best practice delivery and expansion of this customer account.


Salary - £45000 - £60000 + benefits

Location – Glasgow (split between employer site and customer site – both Glasgow)


Key candidate experience requirements:

- Proven Contracts management and development experience with technical engineering services for the marine, shipping or related maritime fleet sectors
- Strong experience of project management and contractual terms negotiation with direct customer and supplier engagement
- Degree / HND in engineering or equivalent hands on technical engineering experience
- First class direct customer engagement and service delivery abilities
- Strong technical knowledge of service engineering
- Strong experience within the marine, shipping or maritime related sectors for full technical service delivery understanding is crucial
