IT Manager


Fantastic opportunity with an extremely high calibre organisation.

Key skills: Windows Server 2003 - 2008R2, Exchange to 2010, Virtualisation ( VMware), IT Security knowledge / background and experience as an IT Manager in a medium to large organisation.

Extremely competitive salary on offer for this position.

You will hold overall responsibility for the clients overall IT estate (comprising three locations, approximately 400 workstations and two data centers).

This is an extremely high calibre organisation and therefore I am seeking a high calibre candidate for this position.

The client works closely with and provides consultancy for a number of organisations involved in industry, defence, telecoms, government and utilities.

Please note, there is a requirement to be security cleared for this position.

Key deliverables:

* To provide a comprehensive and suitable management of the company IT estate.

Ensure that internal customers satisfaction is maintained at a high level and adhere to any time frames and service level agreements agreed

* To ensure that the management is updated regularly on the status of the IT services.

* Be aware of hardware, applications, products and services that the internal customers are using.



* Manage effectively either internal staff of subcontractor personnel appointed to operate on the services maintenance.

* Effectively manage suppliers for external IT services.

* Interact with the business, with a view to ascertaining needs and expectations in relation to IT support.

* Plan and perform specific tasks for the IT improvements.

* Verify that security policies are properly applied

* Follow operational procedures where appropriate to ensure that all systems are up and working.
