An amazing new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Deputy Ward Manager to work in an exceptional mental health hospital based in the South West London area.
You will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers
This is one of the country's leading mental health treatment centres.
They provide fast access to high quality treatment for lots of different conditions, including addictions, depression, anxiety, stress and eating disorders

*To be considered for this position you must be qualified as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with a current active NMC Pin

As the Deputy Ward Manager your key responsibilities include:
Ensures that risk is assessed and managed across the immediate and wider working environment and that statutory requirements are met
Supervises a defined group of team members and contributes to their overall CPD, mandatory training and appraisal process recognising the skills required across the team.
This will also include addressing any performance issues that are below the expected standard
Acts as a role model to promote a culture of learning development, inquiry and a team vision
Contributes to the process of collaboratively assessing and acting on risks of harm, danger and abuse
Deputises for the ward manager in their absence
Implements, monitors and evaluates therapeutic interventions within an overall care programme, enabling people with mental health and or learning disability needs to develop coping strategies
The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
Eating Disorders experience
Autistic Spectrum Disorder & Learning Disorder experience
Experience of working similar environment
Relevant sufficient post registration experience
The successful Deputy Ward Manager will receive an excellent salary of £46,014 - £49,314 per annum.
This exciting position is a permanent full time role working 38.5hrs a week.

As a Nurse your key duties include:
Deliver prescribed care to a defined group within an agreed framework
Assess, plan and deliver, with the patient and their carer/family, nursing care which takes account of patient choice and wishes and acting as the patients named nurse
Accurately observe and engage with patients in order to assess need and evaluate progress
Monitor and review Nursing Care plans
Evaluate and respond to changes in patient condition and needs.
Deal proactively and effectively with suggestions and complaints from patients and their families/carers
Contribute to a team approach to patient care in conjunction with all members of the Multi-Disciplinary team
Participate in regular clinical and non-clinical meetings and attend other meetings as requested
Prioritise nursing duties and delegate appropriately and effectively within the shift co-ordination Framework, working as nurse in charge as required, ensuring as far as reasonable practicable a safe environment
The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
Evidence of post registration continuing professional development
A positive attitude and commitment to change, improvement and quality
Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
Knowledge of NMC standards guidelines and professional practices
Knowledge of the Mental Health Act and Code of Practice
The successful Nurse will receive an excellent salary of £39,176 - £41,596 per annum.

As the Care Co-ordinator your key duties include:
You will work as part of a team to maintain the personal care of residents, respecting the dignity of the individual and promoting independence
You will ensure that care services are consistently provided to a high quality standard
Assist in the care of the resident's physical environment and in the general day-day activities of the home
You will assume responsibility for the running of the home and for the wellbeing of staff and residents in the absence of the homes Manager
Responsible for organising your shifts, administering and recording medication, liaising with health professionals and recording to the residents computerised care plans
Assist with the induction, training and supervision of support staff
You will assist residents who have limited mobility or physical/learning difficulties, making the best use of mobility aids and personal equipment provided
The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
Experience of supervising a care team
Ability to show empathy/understanding and experience of the needs of the residents
Good leadership skills with the ability to communicate effectively
Able to show a can-do attitude always
The successful Care Co-ordinator will receive an excellent salary of £14.50 per hour and the annual salary is £27,144 per annum.
This exciting position is a permanent full time role for 36 hours a week on days.
